Lease Maturity Call
Between 120-180 days before your lease matures, you can expect a call from your BMW Retailer as a reminder that your lease maturity date is approaching. Approximately 75 days before your lease expires, you can expect a call from AutoVIN Canada, an independent inspection company, to arrange an appointment for a mandatory vehicle inspection. After AutoVIN Canada evaluates the condition of your BMW, a Vehicle Inspection Report will be available online usually within 48 hours of the physical inspection, outlining the condition of your vehicle. If your vehicle requires any repairs or maintenance, you are strongly encouraged to have the work completed prior to the vehicle turn-in date to avoid additional charges. To ensure all repairs or maintenance are completed properly, please visit your authorized BMW Retailer.
Please note that if you have purchased BMW Financial Services Excess Wear & Use Protection with your BMW vehicle, this process has been simplified for you. Upon completion of your vehicle inspection by AutoVIN Canada, please contact one of our Lease Maturity Specialists at 1-800-300-0269 to verify if any chargeable items are covered by your Excess Wear & Use Protection plan.
Returning Your Vehicle
Your BMW vehicle must be returned to an Authorized BMW Retailer before or on the lease maturity date. Please schedule your appointment with your Retailer in advance to review your vehicle’s condition and confirm all necessary maintenance and/or repairs have been made. Please ensure that both sets of keys, owner’s manual, matching BMW approved non-winter tires and rims, BMW approved windshield with a BMW logo displayed on the glass, vehicle accessories (as applicable) and original copy of ownership (Province of Alberta only) are returned with the vehicle, as required. Once confirmed, you and your Retailer will sign a Vehicle Return Confirmation Form to complete the vehicle turn-in process. You may also settle any applicable lease-end charges with your Retailer at this time.
Please ensure that you take the time to delete all of your personal information from the iDrive system of your BMW (if applicable) prior to vehicle turn-in.
