The BMW Financial Services Vehicle Condition Evaluator makes determining your vehicle’s current condition easy. It is the same tool used by your BMW Retailer and the AutoVIN Inspector to check for tire tread depth, dents, scratches, windshield cracks, etc.The Excess Vehicle Condition Evaluator

Dents, Dings, Chips

All chips affecting an area less than or within the 2” inner circle of the Vehicle Condition Evaluator and dents with damage 2” or less (maximum three occurrences per panel). Exterior dents with damage 2” – 4”. Minor stone chips that affect an area within the 4” circle of the Evaluator (maximum three occurrences per panel).

All chips affecting an area greater than the 2” inner circle of the Vehicle Condition Evaluator and have more than three dents per panel, or dents that extend outside the 2” inner circle of the Vehicle Condition Evaluator. Surface scratches/scuffs that do not penetrate the paint and can be removed with normal reconditioning. All scratches or scuffs through the paint that are 2” – 4” in length; Exterior dents with damage 2” – 4”.

Tires

Tires must have at least 4⁄32" of tread at the lowest point, deeper than the silver wear bar on the Vehicle Condition Evaluator. Tires must match the original equipment supplied on your vehicle (speed rating, type, brand, run-flat, size). Please see your BMW Retailer for details.

Tires that have less than 4⁄32" tread depth, or tire specifications and sizes different from original equipment brand (approved brands are Michelin, Pirelli, Bridgestone, Continental, Dunlop, and Goodyear), type (run-flat), and speed rating.

Cracks or stars that are outside of the driver’s wiper arc and within the 1/2” circle in the centre of the Vehicle Condition Evaluator (up to two occurrences) and surface chips in the driver’s wiper arc.
